This affected adversely on his work due to which was dismissed as he was found no more competent. Then he went to Amsterdam for studying theology however could not pass the exam. Then he joined a missionary school which was located in Brussels. Completting his education he moved to Borinage, Belgium. He led a poor life, just like other miners there, by staying in barracks and sleeping on dry straws. There Vincent started to paint and numerous people inspired him to do so. Vincent was inspired by the style of Jean-Francois Millet. His one of the best works is "potato-eater" which shows a theme of god-fearing, hard working people.

However, Vincent had to face a lot of problems in life which was really tragic. However then his art of painting made him alive with full of colors and even life through his amazing and even message conveying paintings.
